Our immune system is complex

The immune system helps keep the body safe from germs and toxins. It does this by figuring out what is harmful and what is normal or helpful. When the immune system cannot do this, it may not be strong enough to fight harmful things (this is called immunodeficiency and is a type of immune disorder) or it may mistakenly attack normal cells (which is known as an autoimmune disease or an autoimmune disorder).

Our goal is to create new therapies and treatments that can help manage symptoms for those with immune and autoimmune disorders. By learning more about these conditions and researching investigational medications, we hope to one day bring better health to people facing long-term immune challenges.

There is a lot to consider when deciding whether to participate in a clinical trial. Any clinical trial includes risks, which the study doctor will review with you. Make sure you understand the risks before participating.
